11 The Dunes is a lovely self-catering apartment located in a secure complex in Umhlanga Rocks, a coastal town with a wide array of activities and gorgeous landscapes situated in KwaZulu-Natal. This popular tourist destination offers a variety of exciting activities, including surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming.

The apartment comprises three double bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and a breakfast bar with stools. The dining table seats five guests, while the comfortable lounge area leads out onto a large enclosed patio.

The complex is fully enclosed with electronic gated control and includes a large garden and swimming pool. A lock-up garage and additional parking pays are also provided for guests' use.

The Gateway mall in Umhlanga is one of the largest shopping centres in the Southern Hemisphere and offers indoor and outdoor activities including movie theatres, a wave pool, skate park, climbing wall, amusement arcade, night clubs and restaurants.

It was not the standard I had expected. It needs some love and attention.
But it was safe and had all that we needed in a self-catering establishment. 


Terrible service by

Incorrect information was communicated in writing to me as to where to collect the keys. Was not able to get hold of Umhlanga Vacations to clarify the situasion. After a lot of effort I got hold of Umhlanga Vacations and was told to drive another 22km to collect the keys in Umhloti. This after a 8 hour drive from Johannesburg.
