St Georges, in the heart of Old Simon's Town, is a beautifully restored historic building dating back to 1860. It is situated directly opposite the yacht basin and Jubilee Square which is a venue for craft sellers and colourful street buskers.All the shops you require are within walking distance and there are many fine restaurants, bakeries and delicatessens in and around Simon's Town. Cape Town with all her wonderful sights and activities is an easy 40 minutes' drive away. There is a range of wonderful beaches with clean sand and clear unpolluted water. Boulders Beach, famous for its resident penguins is close by. For an unusual viewing of these birds, one can take a kayak trip from the yacht basin out into the bay and view the penguins from the water. A short drive takes you to the Cape Point Nature Reserve which offers many scenic trails along the beaches, up the mountains and through the fynbos.The complex offers a laundry with a washing machine and tumble-dryer which may be utilized by guests at a small fee. Bookings are for a minimum of two nights during Low Season and four nights during High Season.
