The magnificent six arch sand stone bridge, opened in 1881, now a National monument guards the entrance to ?The Inn?. In bygone years, the road passed in front of the old Kraai river Hotel and Toll keepers House. Once the heavily loaded wagons of the transport riders taking their wares to the mountain district of Herschel, Lady Grey, Barkley East and Rhodes cross the bridge after spending the night at the old Kraai river Hotel. The toll keepers' house, stables and old shop completed the complex as used during those years and now are the guest area called Toll Inn. When you cross the Bridge please note that, you have crossed into significant history and the hospitality of bygone years.
