Fill your heart while staying in Hogsback's little Teepee village on our Animal Rescue Farm! Spending time in our luxury Teepee for a few nights will let you reconnect with the simple ways of life and the magic that surrounds us. Our spot is the perfect starting point to explore Hogsback's beautiful nature with many hikes close by. The teepee has a private bathroom. All proceeds go back into our Rescue Farm and animals. So come and support a good cause, while relaxing body and soul!
All four of our Teepee's stand on raised wooden decks, each with their own private bathroom facility just a few meters walk away. Each teepee sleeps people. Inside each Teepee, you'll find a comfortable king-size bed or two three-quarter beds, a super comfy couch, an original Mexican Chiminea that provides an amazing atmosphere, plenty of warmth and loads of fairy lights and paraffin lamps to add extra magic after the sun has set.
You can make use of the kitchen in the main house of the property. Fridge, freezer, stove, oven, kettle, microwave and everything you need to cook a delicious meal is available for you to use.
Our Animal Rescue Farm staff lives on the property and is available for you. My husband and I will always be available for you when on the property, we live a five-minute drive away and you can reach us via phone too.
You will have a solar-powered battery block inside the teepee to charge cellphones and run the fairy lights. It's a great idea to bring a headlamp for after sunset hours to find your way to your private bathroom easier. We have free Wi-Fi in the kitchen area and around the main house.
Guests do not have to interact with the animals, but are always welcome to give them some love and cuddles too!
We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused, neglected and abandoned animals from the surrounding towns and villages. Our farm is home to an average of 20 dogs, four cats, five pigs and several chickens on 1.8 hectares of beautiful mountain land, between lush green trees and vast space, creating a home and safe haven for these animals. Who knows, you might even fall in love with a four-legged friend during your stay! We also have loads of daily visitors, including the Cape Parrot, Knysna Lourie, Samango Monkeys and more.
