Situated on the banks of the Sundays River in a quiet part of this historical town, Aan-die-Oewer offers both B&B a full English breakfast available and self-catering options with all the essentials. The two family units and five single units all have private entrances, en-suite bathrooms, DSTV sports and movie channels, air-conditioning, braai facilities and secure parking.

The pool and lapa areas are ideal for a cold, refreshing drink on a hot summer's day and can also be utilised as a unique conference facility for smaller groups of up to twenty people. Visitors at Aan-die-Oewer can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and game reserve or enjoy the comforting shade of the old oak tree overlooking a large play area for the kids.

A great place to stay by

Annemarie is an efficient host, and very friendly. Her directions to find Aan die Oewer were perfect. Our room with it's en-suite was clean and comfortable, although not large. The buffet breakfast was excellent - more than enough! There was plenty of information about the area in our room, and Annemaries's local knowledge is very good - even telling us the best times to visit the different attractions. She recommended a very good restaurant for the first night of our 2 night stay. Many thanks!!

Stopover by

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were well cared for and the accommodation was clean. Each room had an en-suite which was an unexpected surprise! The suite was nice and big.



Nice establishment to break the long drive between Johannesburg and the Western Cape. Rooms were clean and tidy.

A small room. Nice swimming pool. Correct breakfast. Good recommandation for dinner place. OK for one night.
