Aeroden Lodge is situated on the eastern side of the Hartbeespoort Dam, surrounded by the majestic Magaliesberg Mountain range and just a short distance from the major towns of Gauteng, making it an ideal weekend getaway destination.
We offer nine en-suite rooms, with a choice of twin, double or king-size beds. Each room is equipped with coffee and tea-making facilities, a fridge, DStv and air-conditioning, and are situated next to the heated swimming pool in a lovely secluded garden area. We invite guests to bring their own picnic basket and use the communal barbecue area which is situated next to the outside lapa with plenty of seating. We also offer various self-catering units, each with a fully equipped kitchen and private barbecue facilities.
In addition, we have six large camping sites, each one separated with wooden poles for complete privacy. The sites have their own ablution facilities with a shower, toilet, and an outside tiled wash basin. The sites overlook the large swimming pool and water slide, making it easy to keep an eye on the children.
The lodge is well secured with a remote controlled gate and guard patrol at night, and features include a small heated swimming pool, a large cold swimming pool with a water slide and a fully stocked bar with big screen TV. The sun deck overlooks the swimming pool and we have a large lapa for shade in the hot afternoons. Mountain trails up the mountain provide a lovely view of the area and wild game can be seen, and there is also a lovely dam for catch and release fishing.
The area boasts several golf courses, including Pecanwood, Seasons, Sandy Lane, Magaliespark, Mooinooi and Brits, and we are just 5 km from Miracle Waters for any scuba divers. Hartbeespoort is a brilliant recreational area with an aquarium, zoo, snake park, animal sanctuaries, party boat charters, canopy tours, and lovely colourful craft markets. There are also many restaurants and pubs in the area including a floating restaurant on the dam.
