1 Day Death by Chocolate Tour

Sample a range of chocolates, truffles and wine at various chocolatiers and wine estates. We visit the beautiful towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.

Bilton Wines: The estate has been in the hands of the Bilton family since 1959 when Don Bilton bought it. For more than 30 years the farming activities at Bilton, with its prime location on the foothills of the Helderberg, were centred on growing fruit, vegetables and grapes until 1996 when Mark Bilton took over the responsibilities from his father.

Huguenot Chocolates - Franschhoek: Welcome to South Africa's premier BEE producer of fine handcrafted Belgian chocolates. Located in Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of South Africa. Partners, Danver Windvogel & Denver Adonis are Belgian-qualified chocolatiers. Chocolates are made in view of visitors to the chocolatier. Here you will enjoy ?The Chocolate Experience?, a half-hour program of tasting, demonstrations and chocolate history.

DV Chocolate ? Paarl: Crafted by the De Villiers family in the Cape Winelands, DV Artisan Chocolate is one of the few ?Bean to Bar' micro-batch chocolate makers in the world. A guided tasting of 6 of 70% cacao Single Origin dark chocolates: Uganda; Trinidad; Madagascar; Venezuela Caracas; Sao Tome and Venezuela Rio Caribe, followed by a selection of 4 flavoured chocolates, including at least one milk chocolate.

Van Ryn's Distillery - Over 200 years old, the 5-star distillery is home to award winning brandies like the Van Ryn's 12-year-old, the recent International Wine & Spirits Association winner of Worldwide Best Brandy. This is your opportunity to experience some of the finest South African brandies paired with various chocolates and an espresso on the side.

The tour starts and ends anywhere in Cape Town as the tour is private.
