24 GLENFRUIN MEADOWS RESENSIES (85 %) Quiet in the village by Hein Van Heerden, South Africa 03 May 2016 Situated in a private estate, this apartment is actually part of the owners' house, at the front of the house. (This might not seem obvious from the photos or description). That is not a problem since it has it's own entrance and is very easily accessible.
The apartment is small but well furnished and build quality is outstanding.
The estate is private and secure which lends to peace and quiet with an added bonus of a lovely walking path around the estate. Hemel en Aarde MTB trails also start just outside the estate.
Just outside the estate is Onrus Wine Village with 2 wineries, a few restaurants and shops. 24hour Woolworths at the Engen across the road.
We had very poor cell phone reception (MTN) in the apartment and we would have appreciated a WiFi option from the owners.
Highly recommended.
Pretty but not quite as it seems by Di Drysdale, South Africa 31 October 2016 Lovely clean and tidy accommodation but this is not a quaint isolated cottage as it appears in the picture. It is an extension to a private home in a gated community. There are also no cooking facilities other than a microwave oven and there was no option to braai/BBQ as advertised. However it was still very peaceful and quiet. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Lovely by Brenda Rice 20 June 2017 Lovely and clean, beautiful views.
Attached to the house not free standing as we expected, also not self catering no cooking facilities only a microwave, we took all our food with but had to discard.
However still very nice and quite and upmarket.
