This luxury self-catering apartment has four bedrooms and is situated on the seventh floor of the Oyster Rock complex.

The apartment accommodates a maximum of eight guests in four bedrooms. The two main bedrooms both have en-suite bathrooms. There is an additional bathroom to service the other two bedrooms. The two main bedrooms both have queen size beds. The third bedroom has twin beds, which can be converted to a king-size bed on request. The fourth bedroom has bunk beds; single on top, double on the bottom.

The lounge and dining room area is open plan. Off the lounge and dining room are sliding doors that lead out onto the balcony with spectacular sea views, where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning or sun downers in the evening. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, including a separate scullery area. The main kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and under counter oven and hob. The scullery area includes a bar fridge, ice maker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The apartment is only 80 meters from the main swimming beach in Umhlanga Rocks. Nearby attraction includes Gateway Theatre of Shopping, KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board, Umhlanga Lighthouse and Durban Botanic Gardens.

The apartment was fine- when we arrived most of the crockery, mugs, glasses etc had to be washed as they weren't clean. The ice machine is also broken and was so dirty when we wanted to use it. Both en suite showers were leaking, the one was fixed but the other didn't work all week. The microwave is so old and smelly that we didn't want to use it. I think that people don't care to let the owners know about any issues etc so maybe the apartments need to be checked thoroughly before each new guest arrives.
