The Hartenbos Lagoon Resort is nestled on the banks of the Hartenbos Lagoon within the magnificent beauty of Garden Route and is well-known not only for its picturesque setting, but also for its excellent service and friendly staff.

Accommodation is offered in two-bedroom self-catering suites sleeping up to four adults and two children each. The main bedroom contains a double bed, the second bedroom contains twin single beds, and there is also a sleeper couch in the lounge area. The suites each have a communal lounge and dining area, as well as a fully equipped kitchen.

The charming harbour town of Mossel Bay, only 7 km away, boasts the second most moderate climate in the world, with more than approximately 320 sunny days on average per year. The area offers sandy beaches, whale watching, diving, shark cage diving, surfing, fishing, extreme adventures, hiking trails, game and nature reserves, restaurants, excellent shopping and pubs, and an endless list of entertainment that will keep the whole family occupied for days on end.

We had a great time in the 2 and 3 bedroom flats. They were modern and nicely furnished and clean. We will definitely be booking there again. The only issue is there is no signage around Hartenbos and even outside the resort. We kept on getting lost because we only saw Riveria and we didn't know the resort was inside.



Dit was wonderlik die personeel is baie gasvry en laat n mens baie Welkom voel.  Die woonstel was pynlik netjies en elke dag gediens.  Hou vol met julle Goeie diens

Awesome Place overlooking the lagoon. The Unit is spacious and kept clean with the daily service. Many Activities for both  kids and adults, which makes the holiday much more fun. The Service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Assistance is given immediately when required. A place worthwhile visiting. Hoping to go back there again sometime


Stuffy by

Unit 5 where we stayed was very stuffy. Whether it was the sewerage system or the carpets, but it was terrible. Bathrooms need a revamp. The microwave oven's turn table was malfunctioning. The ambrella in the patio could not open due to two broken spikes. The couch is dirty. The garden furniture in the communal gardens are worn.

For a R100 pp extra We could have stayed in the Diazstrand Hotel, breakfast included.

It is misleading to market the timeshare as part of the hotel next door. 

The only positive is the beautiful estuary. Thank God for small mercies. 

Absolutely disappointing.
