Shashani Lodge Western Matopos is a self-catering lodge located just 59 km from Bulawayo on the Plumtree Road, making it the ideal accommodation location for guests travelling to Zimbabwe from the Botswana border. The main lodge features a lovely bar, a lounge and dining area, and an outside entertainment area with a swimming, barbecue facilities and a fire pit.

The lodge offers accommodation in five stone under thatch lodges, all overlooking an outstanding Matopos granite kopjie. Each lodge features an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The lodge is self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen. Please note this is not a wheelchair friendly property due to the stairs

The setting of this lodge is stunning. The chalets were perched on a rock and had the most exquisite views. The main area was well planned and also looked out over the beautiful granite formations. The infinity lawn was a great sitting place in the evening to watch the sun set. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the staff very accommodating.
