Al Marrakesh Guest House is situated in the heart of the seaside town of Ballito, on South Africa's Dolphin coast, within 1km of the main beaches, shops and restaurants. This serene, family establishment intertwines the Middle Eastern and African cultures through a unique Moroccon décor which makes for a relaxing stay.Rates start @ R500 per/adult sharing and R200 per child in a spacious, executive/honeymoon suite with a king size bed; two fully equipped self-catering family suites and three standard en suites with queen size beds.Facilities offered in all suites are air conditioning, a private garden entrance, en suite bathroom, complimentary hospitality tray, hypo allergenic douvets, Egyptian cotton linen, a bar fridge, fan, safe, LCD TV with DVD player and either DSTV or an in house library of movies. A braai facility, swimming pool and secure parking is also availableBeyond Al Marrakesh, you'll discover beautiful golden beaches on which to stroll, rock pools for fishing, and the Indian Ocean's warm waters where you can enjoy a good swim, or try your hand at surfing and body boarding. You might even spot a Bottlenose dolphin, which frequent this coast.

Simple by

Your lodge was comfortable and simple. A comfortable bed, standard facilities and helpful staff.

Nice by

Centrally located within walking distance of beach. Short drive to shops and restaurants. Room gets very hot during the day. Michael, the assistant, was very helpful.

December break by

We stayed at Al marrakesh for 4 nights. The staff were great and friendly. We used it as a bed rather than a resort, as we were out all day every day. If that is your thing then  this resort is ok. The pool was half full, no shower, access was steep and narrow, the parking a nightmare, so not recommended for family stay when you want to use ammenities.




Worst accommodation ever, and no value for money. Will not recommend this venue to anybody in the future. Using social media to spread the message at every opportunity I get. Listed are a few issues:          Marrakesh accommodation

1. Tatty and dirty
2. White linen, should have no stains.
3. 2 people 6 days - cupboard space is a joke, we had live out of the suitcase.
4. Room was cramped with no space to move, or a chair to sit in.
5. No bath plug
6. No soap in dispenser
7. No soap dish or facility to hold shampoo etc.
8. Shower in need of repairs, tiles broken and door.
9. Concept and idea is great but implementation leaves a lot to be desired.
10. Too far from the sea and the view is that of the neighbors wall outside the room.
11. Definitely not value for money and very over priced.
12. Would not recommend at all to anyone at any time.
13. Main gate does not operate.
14. Bed side mat to say was filthy, would be too kind.
15. Definitely recommend Safari removes this venue from their listing.
16. Towels so rough. Actually used sand paper that was softer. We used our own beach towels in the bathroom.
17. Sink and bath were not cleaned.
18. Dustbin in bathroom was not cleaned and contained previous occupants rubbish.
19. Sink taps so tight I had to use spanner from car to close taps to stop water leaking.
20. Basin so dirty we dared not put anything down.
21. Sink cupboard filthy and broken and inside was water stained from leaks.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide practical input. We are grateful that you appreciated our Arabian theme and apologise for the inconvenience experienced by you, especially that the gate was on manual control for four hours whilst a electrical point was undergoing maintenance works. I'm sure that you'll be pleased to hear that we have addressed some of your other concerns as follows;
·        Install the new shampoo and conditioner dispensers which were recently delivered
·        Install a new shower unit
·        Replace the old towels with soft, luxury towels and use ?staysoft' in the interim
 
We do take our guest's input seriously and respond by tweaking our maintenance and quality control program. We are graded as HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by AA who do a thorough, annual inspection and always comment on our high standard of hygiene and rigorous maintenance program to constantly upgrade the facilities at Al Marrakesh Guest House.
