ALOE INN GASTEHUIS RESENSIES (83 %) Wonderful stay by Delia Cockerill, South Africa 01 July 2010 I had a wonderful two evenings at Aloe Inn. My room had a large balcony that overlooked the sea. Breakfast was great and the personal service was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Felt like home by Jenny Barnard, South Africa 25 March 2013 What an awesome stay we had! Everyone went the extra mile for us, the service was great, the food was excellent, the company the greatest, everything was nice and clean. we loved every moment of our stay. Not to expectation by Kate Honiball, United States Of America 09 January 2015 I was slightly disappointed with my stay here, I only see my family twice a year and like to have a great time when I am home.
I booked 3 rooms, 1 non sea facing and 2 sea facing.
The non sea facing was tiny and crammed up.
Only one sea facing room had really amazing sea views. The spare bedding looked like it was just thrown into the cupboards and the toilet seats were all cracked up and gross.
Other than that the rooms were nice. I had called the day before we were to arrive and asked if we could possibly use cooking facilities as we like to just do our own thing, it was said that it wouldn't be a problem and we would discuss it upon arrival.
On arrival when we were unpacking we were rudely told we had to store our food in the rooms which we understood and went by it,later that evening my cousin and her friend asked if they could perhaps dry clothes that had rained wet from the trip down, they were again shouted at saying that its not a self catering place which we were all at that time aware of but it wasn't asking much at all. A little understanding would have been nice.
The next morning I went down to make my family breakfast, well lets just say I was treated very badly for someone who was paying so much money to stay there.
I don't normally give bad reviews as I am very easy going but if there was another place to stay I would have checked out immediately and demanded a refund. Wonderful experience by Andrew Lemos, South Africa 04 April 2016 As their moto states, come as a visitor leave as family, absolutely true. Ian and Es treated us as family and made their home ours. What a wonderful couple, it's getaways like these that make you want to explore our own country
