This fully equipped double-storey, four bedrooms home is built for enjoyment. There are three bedrooms on the lower level, one of which has a shower en-suite bathroom, and a second bathroom serves the other two bedrooms. Unit is fully serviced. The home is well secured as one enters through galvanised steel gates to a big tiled verandah semi-enclosed which has a built-in braai and dart board. French doors give access to the tiled lounge and open plan kitchen with a large laminated timber server.
A magnificent staircase leads up from the lounge to the upper level. This entire level comprises an enormous games and entertainment area complete with pool table, pub, and dart board. Patio doors lead off the upper TV lounge and DStv feed to a view verandah. Relax and listen to the ocean whilst sipping sundowners. A fourth bedroom leads off from this area with a separate toilet. A viewing verandah off the pub overlooks the ocean which is a mere 100 metres away. Situated in a secluded cul-de-sac across the road from the beach, linen provided, bring your own bath/swimming towels.
Situated 45 minutes south of Durban, Mtwalume has a peaceful village atmosphere. Mtwalume has a tidal pool and good rock fishing, as well as a ski boat club, with others at Pennington and nearby Rocky Bay. The annual sardine run, during the winter months, is a natural phenomenon along the South Coast. Large shoals of Sardine beach from Port Edward to Hibberdene. Shad, game fish, dolphins and shark join in the feeding frenzy, bringing life to the oceans. Just past Ifafa but before Hibberdene on the South Coast is the small village of Mtwalume.
Where the Mtwalume River meets the sea, it has created a beautiful lagoon, further up the river are the Mtwalume Falls. This small village has tremendous fishing, spear fishing and bird watching spots. There is a choice of 7 golf courses for the golf enthusiast, between Scottburgh and Port Edward, as well as numerous Game Reserves. Shopping centres, entertainment facilities, restaurants are all within easy driving distance. The Wild Coast Casino situated in Port Edward is also very popular with holidaymakers, and is situated approximately 45 to 50 km away.
