Aubures Camp is set on a working farm that is located at the base of the mountainous Rooirand, about 50 kilometers North West of Helmeringhausen, accessible from the C27. It is well centered between Mariental, Keetmanshoop and Lüderitz, it is 200 kilometers from Sesriem. There are six campsites constructed under large camel thorn trees, and defined with circles of red rock. The rustic ablution block is also built around a robust camel thorn tree, with an open roof. It has flush toilets, hot showers and a scullery area outside. Each site has a tap and fire pit. Behind the campsite is a lovely walking trail which offers great views over the camp and the farm. A number of mountain bike, walking trails have been built in the hills above the campsite and guests may request a walk to nearby San rock art.

AUBURES CAMP RESENSIES (98 %) Fantastic experience by Cloete Van Vuuren, South Africa 19 July 2015 We really enjoyed our stay. The education we received from Jorn on sustainable farming and living in harmony with the desert during a tour of the farm was enlightening. Thomas (oldest son) took us on a guided walk to Bushman engravings and shared his knowledge on the local geology (his grandfather is a geologist!) and plantlife - definitely worth much more than just an overnight stay! Amazing place by Melodie Alliot, South Africa 09 January 2016 Beautiful place in the middle of the desert! Peace, quiet, isolation, solitude, one with nature by Jenny Hensley 29 October 2017 What a wonderful spot. What a lucky find online. What super, friendly, welcoming owners. Such a super layout too, 6 individual sites, shared ablution block with instant hot water (!), very clean. Lots of birds & a little walking trail up the hill behind the site. Views to forever & beyond. A great spot, highly recommended, & a good stop-over for those travelling from Aus or the canyon towards Sossusvlei dunes. Thank you Aubures, you were the best of many... Namibia at Its Best by Tim Smith 08 January 2018 A small and spectacular campsite set in a peaceful and stunning space and all run by fabulous hosts; what is not to like. Our host, Thomas, was incredibly hospitable, helping with a few minor problems and taking us on a trek to cave paintings. A man who is clearly proud of his heritage and home and an absolute asset to the business and the Namibian hospitality industry. It was THE best New Year. Great Campsite and very friendly hosts by Steffen Bankamp 16 April 2018 We stayed at Aubures Camp for one night. The Camp is situated in a very remote area on a working farm. At the camp you find a walking trail which is very nice for sunset. The host is very friendly and helpful.
Just a beautful and peaceful place we realy enjoyed. The peace and quiet by Mark Taylor 22 April 2018 Loved the location. Beautiful camping place. Will be back. Moonlight and quiet solitude by Nic Myburgh 23 May 2018 Following the warm welcome by Adrienne and the friendly dogs,we experienced a full moon, call of a jackal and the whole campsite to ourselves. Pure magic. The rustic ablutions were also special. Oh man, incredible views by Corrie Mynhardt 01 August 2018 We've enjoyed the rustic camp layout. Most important was the views of the desert surrounded by the mountains which changed colour every moment. We'll go back any time. The no light pollution of the night sky by Elizabeth Hughes 11 September 2018 The owners were away when we arrived but Cecily and Kevin were the kindest people and marvellous hosts.
The camps are set under camel thorn trees and the quiet and peace are soul soothing. The brilliant stars stark against the pitch black sky just perfected our stay.
The night sky was beautiful Wonderful Auberes by Mike Murray 13 September 2018 We loved being submerged in this fascinating and harsh environment. This is a camp that achieves the right environmental 'balance' and has excellent facilities. The hospitality and friendliness we experienced were a big added bonus. AUBURES CAMP LIGGING
