Baviaans Wes Guesthouse offer a typical South African farm holiday. The farm is situated approximately 30 kilometres from Uniondale, South Africa in the direction of Willow more and the Baviaans Kloof a declared world heritage site.

On the farm guests can hike the numerous farm trails. Apart from the known sites hikers might even discover new sites. The farm also offers the 4x2 drivers as well as mountain bikers the opportunity to use their vehicles for the purpose for which they were manufactured. The farm tracks are ideal for this purpose and guests will be rewarded by breath taking Klein Karoo scenery along the way. Various types of game might be encountered whilst hiking and or driving and bird watchers will be rewarded for their patience at various locations on the farm. A number of blue cranes have made the yard their home and visitors have ample opportunity to study these amazing birds from up close

Your hostess Elmarine will ensure that your stay is comfortable and, since she offers a fully catered for vacation with traditional farm meals, even the mothers will have time to relax. Please be advised that bookings need to be a minimum of four adults or more per booking.

Real old fashioned hospitality by

Real old fashioned hospitality. This is an old farmhouse in the Klein Karoo - it is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are typical of an old farmhouse - large, even though the bathroom is small, it has a shower and a bath. The outside self catering units are adequate, but the real charm of the place lies in the friendliness and hospitality of the owner. It was finding a gem in the Klein Karoo, and I will return.

Home away from home by

We really enjoyed our stopover on the farm. Accommodation is very basic and the drought has taken its toll, but everything was clean with no problems. We were spoilt with a farm style dinner and breakfast. Our host (Ivy) was super and we were well cared for. Great value for money.

The peace and tranquility by

The setting on a working farm is beautiful, peaceful and real. Elmarine's care and hospitality cannot be faulted. Everything is reasonably comfortable and warm in the cold nights. The potential of the place is not being developed at all.
