Berg Street Cottage is situated high up overlooking the beautiful Swartland valley and majestic Horeb Mountain. The house has two identical wings. Each wing has a main front bedroom with a queen-size bed, a back bedroom with two single beds, and a large bathroom in between. The central fireplace and under carpet heaters will keep you warm through winter and the stunning views from the patio will appeal to all guests. Whilst close enough to walk to the town square, this picturesque home is also far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquillity Clarens is known for. As the cottage is let as a house, bookings are taken for 4 or more people only. Whilst the house sleeps 8 downstairs, the loft can accommodate another 4 people.

Greatest Clarens Experience by

I am a regular visitor to Clarens and mostly stay at a B&B because I usually travel in a party of 2. This time it was a larhe group of us so we decided to rent a house. To our surprise it was more like a mansion. Berg Street cottage is beautifully decorated, homey feeling and just huge with every possible necessity. Donovan is great and is willing to help out with anything.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is due to not being able to use the pool which would have been great in this heat.
We will definitely be returning.

Best view in town by

Our stay at Berg street cottage was awesome. The house is like your home away from home. This is definitely the best view in town. If you're looking for a place to stay, this is it!!

Thank you for spending the weekend at my place in Clarens. I know it did not get if to the best start, but I hope you were still able to enjoy some quality time with your family as the weekend unfolded in a comfortable surrounding.

Thanks you for your ratings and comment. I did note you commented on the security in the area. Whilst certainly not crime free, we have been fortunate to not have many serious crimes committed in Clarens over the past 10 years, since I have had a house there, and as mentioned to you, this is the first incident I have experienced at my property. Sadly petty crime does exist, and one should be as vigilant as they are wherever they come from. Once again, I am sorry you had to experience the broken window and related concerns on Friday afternoon. Thank you for assisting Pierre who repaired the window and the police when they arrived to take a statement.

Clarence weekend away by

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend with friends in Clarence. The layout and amenities available at our location was perfect. Bathrooms and Kitchen was immaculate with all guests having sufficient privacy. All these factors contributed to making the weekend enjoyable. The only comment for improvement is the television.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and is fantastically equipped with everything you need. The patio is gorgeous with a spectacular view. Without doubt we will make this our place to stay whenever we come to Clarens.

Great it was very relaxing

Space and comfort by

More than enough space and luxury for a comfortable stay. Hiking trail at the back of the house overlooking Clarens. Underfloor heating and fireplace came in handy in the cold evenings. Walking distance from shops. Will definitely visit again.

This house is just amazing ! It really has everything you need , the beds are super comfortable, everything was super clean , the house is warm in the winter , and has spectacular views , close enough to town square we walked there all the time , we will defenitely return.

We were in awe of this beautiful home you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Fabulous house with so much space and all the bells And whistles . Beautiful rooms and bathrooms , underfloor heating and double lined curtains for the chilly nights and big spacious loung living area and an amazing kitchen! We loved the patio area had a braai and could relax on the couches looking at the most beautiful view! A big fireplace too if needed wow we loved it! Can't wait to go back!

Berg Street Cottage is an outstanding house with wonderful views and in the perfect location. It is in close proximity to the Clarens Nature Reserve and the town square which makes it great for hikers and shoppers alike.
