Bishops Guest House is an old-style colonial home, nestled in a beautiful well-maintained garden in in the northern Kwa-Zulu-Natal town of Vryheid.

Here guests can relax in the privacy of their rooms or outside on the wraparound veranda that overlooks the huge gardens, swimming pool and braai area.

Surrounded by old trees, the guest house provides safe, secure parking facilities available in five lock-up garages.

The town of Vryheid derived its name from the Afrikaans word for freedom. It lies northeast of the town of Dundee in Zululand as well as the site of one of the more notorious battles along the Battlefields Route; the battle of Blood River.

Lovely Guest House in Vryheid by

We stayed over at Bishops Guest House in July for 2 nights and were very pleased with the clean, attractive, well equipped self catering apartments. Lisa is a friendly, efficient hostess and made us feel welcome from the start. We will definitely stay no where else but there when again visiting Vryheid.



Thank you, we had a very pleasant stay. We we safe and cared for. Food was prepared and served in style. Room were neat, tidy and clean. Home away from home. Everything we needed was provided, we felt so welcome. Baie dankie ons het heerlik gebly. Ons was veilig, versorg en alles was net reg. Kos was keurig voorbery en bedien. Kamer was pynlik netjies en skoon. Het heerlik gekuier, n tuiste weg van die huis.



Lisa, the host, was very friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was nice but in an unusual position as the bedroom windows looked out onto an internal corridor to the other bedrooms.
