Great place by Janet Byrne, South Africa 25 March 2013 We had a most enjoyable, but too short stay, at Blyde Eco Estate. The Lodge was very private, comfortable, spacious and well equipped, with a lovely deck and pool with the most stunning view of the mountains and sunsets. There is a club house in the Estate with dining facilities. Great place to stay to explore the area. Memorable Experience by Momo Motsoane, South Africa 19 January 2016 We came all the way from Sebokeng , and stayed from the 31st to the 3rd January. Im telling you i can honestly vouch that the website did not do this place any justice. Our stay was perfect, the house was remarkably beautiful and neat. Everything that you can wish for in a home was available. Actually it felt like a second home to us.We didnt have any hassles at all. And a very big thank you to Matome for great hospitality. We had a great time indeed.

Cornelia Schreyer, Germany by Cornelia Schreyer, Germany 05 June 2017 I try to be fair, but we were rather disappointed. We booked this house for 4 nights in November 2016. We have chosen Blyde Private Lodge because we needed a 5 bedroom house and the Reviews were excellent. Unfortunately the reality was different. We had only 4 bedroom available. The 5th bedroom was used by the maid (Wilhelmine was a darling, it was not her fault!). The pool did not work, a shower in one bathroom did not spend any water. We spend time to fix it. The interior of the house is very simple. Naked bedrooms, not even a chair in them. But the Price is low, so I won't complain the poor interior. But when I got home from the holiday, I complained the missing bedroom and the pool. I did not ask fo any compensation, but Matome offered one and we both agreed for a 20 percent reimbursement, what means R1680. What followed then, is the reason, why I write this Review. The next 6 weeks nothing happend. Matome's explanation: Very busy during december. Ok I thought, be more patient. Since then, I wrote about 12 more emails. The excuse this time: He can not transfer SA Rand into another country. He will advise Safari Now to do so. This was the last statement I got, nearly 2 months ago. I do not get any reaction any more. I will never stay there again. I love South Africa. We travel there almost every year. This is the first time I feel betrayed. BLYDE PRIVATE LODGE LIGGING
