Brown's Cabin and Cottages are situated on a pecan nut farm in Scheerpoort, situated in the North West region of South Africa. Minutes away from Hartbeespoort Dam, this area is sought after for weekend getaways for those treasured moments of tranquillity and relaxation. These self-catering units all have uninterrupted views of the magnificent Magaliesberg Mountain range.

Accommodation is offered in self-catering units with uninterrupted views of the Magaliesberg mountain range. The accommodation is ideal for guests attending one of the many weddings which take place in popular venues located nearby (Red Ivory, Greenleaves, Leopard Lodge, Kleine Rijke and The Barn at Redstone). Accommodation is offered in Brown's Cabin, Brown's Cottage, Aloe Suite, Browns Suite, De Wets Cottage and Pecan Cottage. Please note that the Browns Suite and Aloe Suite do not have self-catering facilities.

There are a variety of activities in the area, such as hot air ballooning (Bill Harrops is 5kms away), walks with elephants, game drives and horse riding. Guests can visit restaurants, Van Gaalen's cheese farm, African curio markets and art galleries. The Cradle Health Spa is situated on a property nearby and offers luxurious spa treatments, spa facilities and various medical services. Brown's Cabin and Cottages is approximately 105 km from O.R. Tambo International Airport and approximately 36.4 km from Lanseria International Airport.

Hosts were fantastic by

So friendly and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was beautifully decorated and there was meticulous attention to detail. Lovely touches, such as scented candles, luxury soaps and extra blankets. Would have been great, though, to have a shower rather than/in addition to a bath.

It was a great breakaway from the city life and the cabin is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.

Clean rooms, great bathroom, comfortable bed and friendly. A little spot off the main thoroughfare that you wouldn't really know about. Very quiet which we liked.

We had a phenomenal time, thank you for your amazing hospitality! The views were amazing, we enjoyed games around the braai and boma! Just a pity our stay was for one night, definitely be back for a longer stay next time. Many thanks - see you soon.
