Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is situated on top of a hill approximately 55 kilometers south west of Kariba town. With the Zambezi escarpment as its backdrop, the well-known Bumi Hills Safari Lodge overlooks the foreshore below and the vastness of Lake Kariba.

Bumi has 20 rooms, all with a bath and shower, overhead fans, air conditioning, mini-bars, tea and coffee making facilities and a balcony or veranda. All the rooms have a view over the lake, enjoying sunrise-and-sunset vistas over the lake, historic Starvation Island and the game-rich shoreline.

Apart from safaris and other activities, Bumi Hills offers an array of facilities that delight our guests. At centre stage are the infinity swimming pool, terrace cocktail bar and the wellness spa, each with vistas over the lake and the game-rich shoreline. The elegant main lounge is equipped with guest internet, wildlife DVD's, reference books, card and board games. There is also a comfortable TV lounge with full bouquet of satellite channels and a full-sized snooker table. There's a fine dining room and al fresco dining overlooking the lake. Laundry is done on a daily basis.

The lodge offers a variety of activities which include game viewing in open safari vehicles, on foot accompanied by a professional guide and by boat. A sunset cruise provides guests with wonderful photographic opportunities especially of the famous Kariba sunsets. Bird watching, hide sits and casual fishing are also available.
