Camp Zebra' is named after the Zebra which follow the Wildebeest during their world famous annual migration. Like the animal it is named after, ?Camp Zebra' follows the Wildebeest to the Northern part of the Serengeti National Park in June, July, August, September, October and November; and to the Southern part from December till March. Camp Zebra is closed from the middle of April till the end of May each year. Camp Zebra' consists of 6 accommodation tents to include a 2-bedroomed family unit, each of which can be used for single, double (or twin) or triple occupancy. Each sleeping tent consists of a bedroom area, dressing area and ensuite shower and (flush) toilet. The dressing area, shower and toilet are all ?open air? so as to heighten the experience of living as one with your surroundings. Despite being able to enjoy some breath-taking views as you prepare yourself for the day ahead, privacy is still assured due to the clever design of our tents. As an added convenience, each tent is provided with sufficient electricity for lighting as well as for charging mobile telephones, cameras, tablets, laptop computers or any other electronic devices you may carry with you. The day tent is comfortably laid out as a dining area and the lounge tent provides for an area of rest and relaxation when guests are taking a break from exciting game drives. Coffee table books, board games, a writing bureau and wireless internet connectivity (subject to the availability of telephone networks) are all provided so as to ensure that your every need is catered for. Evenings are spent around the all-important camp fire exchanging stories about the day's events and making plans for the days ahead. ?Camp Zebra' has a well-stocked bar which serves a selection of wines, spirits, beers and minerals, the cost of which is included in our accommodation rates. Our friendly camp staff will be delighted to assist you with your laundry requirements, also without extra charge. The main emphasis of the activities available at Camp Zebra is the viewing of the extraordinary Wildebeest migration which is one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of Africa" as well as the single largest mass movement of animals on the planet. That said, there are many other forms of wildlife and birdlife which can be viewed during the course of game drives in most parts of the Serengeti National Park and these are further enhanced by some of the most spectacular nature to be seen anywhere on the African continent. Depending upon the location of the camp at any given moment, guests are also able to participate in Balloon Safaris although arrangements for this need normally to be made prior to your arrival in Tanzania. Special Note Since the movement of the migration is dictated primarily by rainfall which can be as unpredictable in Tanzania as in most other parts of the world, Camp Zebra has been designed to be mobile so that it can be moved as quickly as possible to keep up with the Wildebeest when they too move.
