Cape Garden Cottage is located in the beautiful suburb named Pinelands in Cape Town.

This tranquil garden cottage can accommodate up to two guests and features free Wi-Fi Internet access, a fan, a hair dryer, a bar fridge, a microwave, a toaster and tea and coffee facilities. There is also a large swimming pool and braai area for guests.

Pinelands and the surroundings have a few things to do and see such as Howard Centre, Oude Molen Eco Village, restaurants, and the South African Astronomical Observatory.

Quite a lot needs improvement:
1. cold water flow so poor that a decent shower almost impossible;
2. douvet most unsuitable for extreme hot conditions, no alternative blanket;
3. Couch so low that getting up was a genuine problem;
4. No fan in the room - that said I found one at night when looking for a blanket, in a cupboard, did not look as though it worked;
5. high stool at breakfast set-up awkward;
6. no other chair;
7. no hooks.

Establishment Response:

The shower is in good working order. We have hosted over 50 and have not had complaints regarding the shower.
There is always a spare blanket at the bottom of the bed to use as an alternative to the duvet. The duvet is a standard duvet, not an extra thick one. We would have also been happy to provide a flat sheet had the guest requested one.
The couch is a beautiful, comfortable couch that has standard hight couch legs that no-one else has found problematic.
There is a fan in the room, stored in the cupboard, as this guest mentioned. It is in perfect working order and very effective. So, if the guest had plugged it in, he would have had a brilliant working fan.
There are two bar stools at the breakfast nook counter. The counter is of standard counter hight. The bar stools are both adjustable. By pulling a leaver one can adjust the stool to a height that is suitable for your comfort.
There are 2 bar stools and a 3 seater couch in the room.
There is a hook behind the bathroom door, and there is a cupboard filled with coat hangers to hang clothes on.

We were available in the main house on the property for the night that this guest spent in our cottage. If he had simply contacted us via phone or spoken to us directly about any of these issues, we would have been more than happy and willing to assist him.?
