Casa Ballena B & B is a one-bedroom cottage located just 150 metres from the ocean, within walking distance of the nearest swimming beach. The cottage comprises off an en-suite bedroom,( shower only) an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchenette, 1 plate electrical hob, fridge, microwave, toaster & coffee make facilities, a deck with sea views. Children of the ages 6-10 years can be accommodated on a sleeper couch in lounge. One child only, please do ask for quote to accommodate child.Both southern right whales and great white sharks frequent the Atlantic waters off the Danger Point Peninsula and are a major draw card for the town. The entire Walker Bay area between Gansbaai and Hermanus is a whale sanctuary and the gentle giants of the southern ocean, the southern right whales, can be sighted within metres of the shoreline where they come annually to mate and calve.Situated between the towns of Hermanus and Pearly Beach, Gansbaai lies within Walker Bay, at the foot of the Dynefontein Mountains. The area boasts a magnificent coastline rich in fynbos vegetation, home to thousands of plant species, a number of which are some of the rarest on Earth.
