thank you so mich to Chartwell Guesthouse for making the celebrations of my 40th birthday breakaway weekend special! This is one for the books! The room was fabulous and the amenities great!

Not suitable for those with mobility problems by

Great space in the rooms.  All very clean. Beds very comfortable. Dog friendly. Very steep drive from road to house. Suite 4 is down steps without a hand rail, or down the side of the property on a grass slope without rails and ill lit at night.

You booked suite 4 online, without discussing room options with me first. Had you mentioned that you had mobility issues, I would have recommended that you rather book one of our ground floor or wheelchair friendly suites. Suite 4 is our family suite and because it is situated in the garden, it is suitable for families who like privacy and a private garden for their children to play in.
With regard to our driveway being steep, by Umhlanga standards, it is not at all steep and we furthermore have no problems with the ingress and egress of motor vehicles.
