Chesapeake Bay is the ideal family holiday accommodation, located right on the beach in the ever-popular South Coast town of Margate. This fully-contained two-bedroom unit sleeps four people privately.

A large balcony that is accessed from the living room and main bedroom boasts a stunning view over the Indian Ocean. The complex offers guests secure under cover parking, a swimming pool, barbecue facilities, a play area for children, and a pay laundry.

Chesapeake Bay is situated in close proximity to Margate town centre, the main beach area and numerous popular golf courses, while the Wild Coast Sun and Casino are only a 30-minute drive away. Margate is located on the N2 highway approximately one hour's drive south of Durban.

The unit is fully equipped with linen, cutlery and all kitchen requirements.

Beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. Good sized bedrooms. Good kitchen. Quiet location. Enjoyed the stay very much.

The DSTV was not working on the Saturday and Sunday. The account had not been paid which is unacceptable as the fee paid included DSTV.

Establishment Response:

This holiday home DSTV account is a prepaid account with at the time had a credit balance of R716.22. The breakdown in service was a Multi choice issue which took five minutes to rectify on line, if I had been contacted by call or SMS I could have immediately resolved the matter.




Feedback on recent stay by

Getting access to the facility was problematic as James was not available . The flat was left open with the keys in it , problem was trying to into the premises , which was most frustrating after a long travel. The flat itself has a leaking ceiling in the lounge area, the lights do not work . II will be looking for alternative venues for future visits.

Just what the Dr ordered by

We stayed at 49 Chesapeake over the Easter period. It was situated perfectly, on the beach front, with the most amazing view. Within walking distance to the hub of Margate, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet we were looking for. The unit was spotless and the staff on the property were extremely friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to our next stay there.
