Chobe Savanna Lodge

Chobe Savanna Lodge is set in a classic Africa savanna environment, with sweeping vistas. The focal point of the lodge is a thatched open-sided lodge commanding a 270-degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park.

Situated in the Eastern Caprivi of Namibia, a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park's Puku Flats. The Chobe River is home to large herds of elephant, buffalo and hippo, as well as dense concentrations of other wildlife including the rare puku antelope which come down to the river's edge to drink, graze and hunt.

Facilities include a swimming pool, a gazebo ideal for small group lunches, and an open boma area on the banks of the Chobe River, where guests are treated to panoramic views. The lodge accommodates just 24 guests in stylish thatched chalets, all with private decks, a combined bedroom and lounge area, and en-suite bathrooms. In addition, all rooms are air-conditioned and have complimentary minibars.

The emphasis is on complete relaxation and solace. All activities are conducted by resident professional guides, whose intimate knowledge will make for an unforgettable experience. Guests have a choice of boat excursions in small manoeuvrable boats, ideal for close up encounters with wildlife along the river's edge.
