This beautiful 3 Star hotel is situated in the town of Citrusdal, famous for its citrus, surrounding natural beauty and working farmlands. It is also the perfect base from which to explore this diverse region.

Accordingly, Citrusdal Country Lodge not only provides stunning accommodation but can also assist in planning activities in the surrounding area, including hiking in the pristine Cederberg wilderness, viewing ancient San rock paintings, visiting an indigenous Rooibos tea farm, and exploring the world-famous wild flowers of Namaqualand.

A warm and friendly atmosphere - a feeling of home away from home. All the staff, from management to cleaners, are friendly and helpfull. The food served is traditional home cooked meals, served in a relaxing atmosphere. A special thank you to Wian for making a special effort to let us feel welcome.

Baie mooi by

Personeel baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Kos was fantasties. Het die outydse atmosfeer baie interessant gevind. Dis heeltemal anders as die moderne leefstyl en wat die kamers aanbetref baie mooi.

Citrusdal country lodge by

This facility is filled with old world charm. The self catering cottages are beautifully renovated with refurbished antiques that give the modern rooms a rich of class. The beds are very comfortable and linen crisp. Staff are all polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. Be prepared though that this place is still going through some renovation so please make allowance for this. Also met the owner who shared his vision for this hotel and his passion for old things being made new. Well done to the owners for giving this place a unique feel and good luck with the rest of the renovation.

Interesting stay, large rooms, surprisingly quiet for being on the main road.

I refused to stay there by

Nothing like what it looks like on the website. Labourers lurking everywhere, staring at you as soon as you drive in. Old rusty burglar proofing all along the outside. Terrible smell as you enter. Dark dingy old. Dank. Took one look at the outside and the deposit was worth forfeiting to say somewhere even half decent. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable just driving in!
