In the picturesque village of Dullstroom, an easy two and a half hours drive from Gauteng and a whopping 7000 feet above sea level, lays Critchley Hackle Lodge. Howard Walker's (of Walkersons fame) dream came true in 1988 when the lodge opened its doors for the first time. Since then it has grown in popularity and stature into the tranquil establishment with some of the best views in Dullstroom.

Our Lodge incorporates the finest amenities and superb facilities while still maintaining a country home atmosphere. Critchley Hackle features a private lake stocked with trout so you can indulge in a bit of fly fishing. We have an outdoor swimming pool and offer accommodation with patios and views of the lake, the gardens, and the surrounding mountains.
