De Ware Jacob has 4 private luxury-cottages for guests that are fully equipped for self-catering, on a 2.4-hectare smallholding covered in fynbos. All cottages can make use of the pool and Jacuzzi in the communal area, at no extra cost. Luxury Cottages B & D however have a private wood burning hot tub, also at no extra cost.

DE WARE JACOB RESENSIES (97 %) De Ware Jacobs, simply divine !!! by Kerry Gilowey, South Africa 18 July 2016 My family and I spent 3 nights at De Ware Jacobs in early July (school holidays). The pictures of the accommodation on the SafariNow link looked fabulous but I was not sure what to expect. Well I had nothing to worry about as it was exactly like the pictures. The directions given were confusing and we drove up and down the little town. We eventually phoned the owner and were directed easily. I was absolutely blown away by the immaculate gardens, accommodation, Jacuzzi, pool and warm welcome we received. Diane went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. My daughter was delighted with all the animals ie goats, cat, dogs, geese and all the beautiful birds. Such a relaxing few days, friendly town, lovely scenic walks and warm snug beds. Jacobs Bay is a beautiful place to take long walks along the different bays and stunning beaches. Ian very kindly took us to an exceptionally beautiful beach and we had a great 2 hour walk back to the cottage. Each cottage has a large outside BBQ area so it's perfect for self catering. A large shopping mall just 15 min drive away is also very convenient. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Thanks so much for a great stay Ian. Everything was perfect by Elandri Jordaan 19 March 2018 The creativity of the place was amazing, the whole of Jacobs bay is brown because of the drought but that little small circle is planted with just the right drought resistant plants.
Everything was perfect, from the house to the Jacuzzi. The owners was so nice and welcoming. It was my first time going somewhere and the photos of the place was actually not doing the place justice(actually seeing it was better)

Each couple was in one of the four cottages, and then we could enjoy the communal swimming pool, braai area and jacuzzi together as a family. It was an ideal set-up! Everything about this booking was extremely professional and well managed - from first contact following our booking request, follow-up communication to keep us updated, check-in, our stay, and finally check-out - Ian and Diane clearly understand the hospitality industry and have done incredibly well to create this special place in the tiny town of Jacobs Bay.
Well worth a stay - especially if you are exploring the West Coast and looking for a creative, comfortable, immaculately clean, and private self-catering option.

We enjoyed the birdlife and fynbos on the smallholding. Unfortunately the inclement weather prevented us from comfortably using the outdoor facilities. Confined indoors we found the lack of an indoor table made meal times difficult. Bedside lamps and mats would also be an asset. WiFi access is available as advertised, but not in the cottages themselves. Have to say the Jacuzzi- very much enjoyed tat by Armando Swartz 26 September 2018 We loved everything about our stay, the cottage is well equipped and beautiful designed/interior, the peaceful environment, friendly host, beautiful gardens, nice walk to the beach. I would only recommend the WiFi be reachable in the cottages as well. Quiet Breakaway for Dads 60th by Andrea Cowan 01 October 2018 We loved De Ware Jacob. This picturesque facility is gorgeous from the beautiful laid out gardens to the tastefully designed cottage. Its very quiet which is great for people who come from the busy part of the city (even weird in the beginning). The hosts are friendly and amazing there in the background if you need anything.
