DeSkaap accommodation and venue is situated on Sandfontein a working sheep and greenhouse tomato farm. 4km from Napier on route 316.

The accommodation range from Cottages, Farm houses and units. Close to the foot of Soetmuisberg lies DeSkaap, Sandfontein. Embedded within a picturesque landscape of rolling farmlands characterizing the Overberg. A soothing soundtrack of freely roaming sheep and active bird life compliments the breathtaking views and memorable sunsets that can be experienced from your doorstep.

The units are eloquently designed for intimate gatherings and facilitate both small and larger groups of up to 30 people. The self-catering units are fully equipped and a boma creates a festive atmosphere and an ideal location for a braai or an atmospheric fire regardless of the season.

Exploring the surrounding area will grant you access to majestic fynbos and views of Napier. The area is a playground for cyclist and motorcyclist and numerous mountain activities including abseiling are available in town. Visit nearby Wine farms such as Black oystercatcher and Strandveld vineyards, or enjoy a refreshment at the Napier brewery.

Accommodation units range from 1-bedroom units to a 3-bedroom house.

The scenic 165km drive from Cape Town makes DeSkaap a perfect weekend destination regardless of the season. DeSkaap is conveniently located 4km from Napier, where one can find a supermarket and a range of charming restaurants and pubs.

Lovely Location by

We received a warm welcome from our hosts. De Skaap has a beautiful location with lofty views of the rolling hills and dramatic skylines of the Overberg. Our house Jan Frederik was spacious and beautifully fitted which made for a comfortable stay. The kids enjoyed being part of farm life. We were close to Napier (only 4km) which made it a lovely base for the Patat fees. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.
