A PLEASANT STAY by

EVEN THOUGH OUR STAY WAS ONLY ONE NIGHT (OUR LAST IN S. AFRICA), OUR STAY WAS QUITE PLEASANT. ALSO A WONDERFUL BIRDING VENUE! THE OWNER WAS QUITE HOSPITABLE & HELPFUL. A VERY RELAXING STAY.

The lodge is a perfect place for bird watchers (which we are not), situated near the Nylsvley Nature Reserve, quite far away from any village or city. It served the purpose we needed it for (just a stay over for 1 night), but was not exactly what we had in mind. The room, food and service were perfect though.

very nice and quite place, only Vodacom network is a problem. try to get us at least 32 inch screen in the chalets.

The trip was OK but the gravel load from the main road is about 6km which is a bit far.. All was good except the room was not clean... We spent 2 nights and they didn't clean the room after the first night... Not even replace dirty cups and glasses.. TV plays just 3 channels & not so entertaining for kids.

Establishments response:

On Saturday morning around 8 they left to go out for the day. Mr Nels gave me their room key and I personally overseen the cleaning of the room. We also clean the cups and glasses that they used, and clean the bathroom after the children had a shower and there was water all over the floor. We made sure the bed was made and everything else was in order.

As for the TV channels, on our listings it clearly state that we can only get the local channels.

Although Nelly had a few issues, it was a joy to have them. For future reverence maybe they would like to book a self catering unit.
