A wonderful base from which to experience what this part of the Drakensberg has in store for you. An ideal retreat for individuals and groups, a place to rest, reflect and take stock of life.

Family getaway by

We, as a family, enjoyed our stay at the Barnhouse. Although it was cold for October, the hearth was warm.

A Place in Paradise by

We arrived at the lodge and our first sighting was of a magnificent panorama exposure to a large section of the Drakensberg. The management was welcoming, efficient, friendly and provided us with whatever we required. We could not have asked for better service.
The rooms were spacious, very comfortable and have views that are remarkable. The hiking was challenging which is what we sought. There are easier hikes as well.
It is a little bit of heaven tucked away in an area of tranquility but easily accessible and close proximity to many towns and cities.
