Driftwood Beach Club Hotel

On the shores of the Indian Ocean, at the edge of the ancient settlement of Malindi, lies Driftwood nestled into the Kenyan coast with a charm all of its own. As a small and privately owned hotel, we have particularly enjoyed developing a sense of warmth and familiarity that sees our guests returning time and again.

We like to keep things small and can accommodate guests in our Cottages and Villas, which are constructed in the traditional coastal style and brought up to date with air-conditioning and other modern amenities. All the accommodation has been designed to maximise privacy, whilst being close to the open-air bar and dining area and within just a few feet of our pool, private beach and the blue waters of the Indian Ocean.

Our long-serving and experienced team are on hand to offer some of the best food in Malindi and to arrange some of the many activities that are available. These include deep-sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling, wind surfing, kite surfing and water ski-ing on Mida Creek, as well as bird-watching on the Sabaki Delta or in the Arabuko-Sokoke forest. For those who simply want to relax, we have four miles of white beach to walk, a small treatment room and plenty of space to find peace and quiet.
