Elands Rust is a tastefully decorated stone cottage set high in the Southern Drakensberg mountains. The cottage offers luxurious self-catering accommodation for six guests looking for a peaceful, charming, exclusive retreat.

The cottage is decorated with period pieces and collectables from all over South Africa. The mood throughout is both nostalgic and tranquil.

The warm cottage offers a large living space with a kitchen, a dining area and a lounge. The lounge has twin Jet master fireplaces and under-floor heating. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and features all modern appliances and granite counter tops. All bedding, bath towels and toiletries are provided. Elizabeth will be your host and will ensure you settle in. She will also service the cottage on a daily basis.

For those who choose to fly in, there is a one kilometre grass landing strip approximately 500 m from the bottom of our property. Hangar facilities are available. Please arrange for more details before you arrive.

Our intention is to create a retreat for clientele who will appreciate the dream we have created and cherish the facilities and accommodation we have established. This is our home away from home and we welcome you to share in that.

Overall Rating is 5 out of 5 stars I had the pleasure a short while of experiencing this magnificent Southern Berg lodge and have nothing but a raving review. We found the establishment to be spotless and very well maintained. It is located in the Drakensberg foothills that made long walks and horse rides an absolute delight. If you are more energetic, there are some nice brisk walks up the sides of the adjacent hills. The feeling of tranquillity is enhanced by magnificent vista's in all directions. The bird life is abundant and diverse. The rooms, lounges veranda are exceptionally spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed and easy to work in. I can highly recommend this lodge as an ideal get-away to enjoy the pleasures of nature in the luxury of a superb lodge. Pierre Hefer

Impofu Lodge is a tastefully decorated large sandstone home. Elizabeth was very pleasant, helpful and professional. Would highly recommend Impofu to friends and family and anyone wanting to relax in the picturesque Underberg area. Will be a return guest.

We had an awesome stay. Loved all the animals that visited especially the eland and Bush buck . Accommodation was first class and very comfortable. Lots of attention to detail. We would love to be able to return. Thank you Ann.
