The beautiful rolling hills of grassland welcome you to Ezemvelo Nature Reserve, which is situated a mere 45 minutes from Pretoria, it is the ideal breakaway from the busy city life.

The reserve comprises of eight self-catering legae chalets, two dorm-style hikers huts, three family huts and 50 camping sites. The establishment offers guests braai facilities, a swimming pool, indoor fireplaces, laundry amenities, credit card facilities and parking on the premises.

Ezemvelo welcomes all nature lovers, from those who simply want to relax to those who feel the need to hike, or mountain bike, between the assortments of animals on the reserve.

My husband and I loved the walking trails and look forward to using the cycling trails next time. It was lovely to see all the game and to be able to walk so close to them. The bathrooms ,of the camping sight, however need some attention. It would also be good if they replace their dirtbins with monkey-proof dirtbins. We loved the open spaces of the nature reserve.



Our camping weekend was good, but the ablutions could been better due to more often cleaning.  We arrived the Wednesday.  Ablutions were cleaned the Saturday only.  We enjoyed our hiking very much, nature at it best!

Some basic maintenance will go a long way to make the place feel little less 'neglected'. For the rest t is really nice and relaxing and very beautiful. Also affordable and will see us again.

If you want a nice peaceful and relaxing time away this is the place to be. We will definitely going back to Ezemvelo next year. Chalet is just what you need all essentials is there. We will be visiting in the winter to use that nice fireplace in the room. Thank you for this amassing place.
