Situated in the middle of a historically rich and ecologically diverse area, First Stop Lodge offers comfortable accommodation at reasonable rates.

Relax in our garden while your children make use of our safe playground facilities or enjoy a restful day at one of our beautiful beaches in the area. Unfortunately no extra visitors are accepted. Please note that there are no card facilities and payment is cash on arrival. Internet banking facilities are available.

Play a round of golf at the nearby Royal Port Alfred Golf Course or enjoy a horseback ride along the beach. Spend the day river-, rock- or surf fishing or simply take a quiet boat cruise up the Kowie River.

Explore the surrounding villages and towns to discover the world's largest pineapple; the country's oldest hotel with charming English countryside ambience and artist's studios.

Visit one of the many game ranches in the area and come face to face with rhino, giraffe, antelope, crocodile and elephant. Enjoy a day hiking in the bush and marvel at the incredibly diverse bird life of the area or simply admire the breathtaking views.
