Fonteintjies

Fonteintjies offers self-catering accommodation 4 km from the small coastal village of Vleesbaai. The house is set on an 8 hectare property with natural dunes and fynbos vegetation, within the Fransmanshoek Conservancy.

Fonteintjies offers prime sea views, and a private footpath to a secluded beach.The house is suitable for up to 6 guests and has three bedrooms sleeping 2 each. We have a dormitory-style annex in another building a few metres from the house, with bunk beds for another 4 guests.

Fonteintjies is inside a nature conservancy. We do not allow pets, and there is no smoking indoors.Parties may be allowed by arrangement, but only if you reserve both the house and annex, and there may be an additional charge.

If different groups are staying in the house and the annex, then the garden and braai area are shared. The deck is exclusive to the house, and the courtyard near the annex is exclusive to the annex.

The house offers a shared bathroom with bathtub, shower, and hand basin, and there is a separate toilet. The kitchen in the house is fully equipped with all modern conveniences including a dishwasher. The large dining and living areas provide ample space to enjoy a meal or a board game from our huge games selection.

The sun room offers the most amazing views and is the perfect place to relax with a book. The annex has a kitchenette (with fridge, microwave, kettle, and coffee plunger), a TV corner, a toilet, and access to a shower across a courtyard.

There is free Wi-Fi throughout the property, and free parking. There is a large braai area, and we can supply braai wood at an extra charge. Your host, Suné, is a registered tour guide, and she can advise you about things to do. Your other host, Ludwig, is a professional chef. He can cook a side dish for your braai, or a full meal, by arrangement.

The TV in the house has an OpenView satellite decoder, a Chromecast device for streaming videos from your own phone or tablet, and a DVD player. The TV set in the annex has only a Chromecast device (no DVD player and no TV reception).

Fonteintjies is in the Fransmanshoek nature conservancy, about 4 km from Vleesbaai. Mossel Bay is just 30 km away, and George is 70 km away. This area is considered part of the Garden Route, and other Garden Route destinations such as Knysna or Plettenberg Bay are within reach for a day trip. Oudtshoorn is also within easy reach.
