Footsteps Eco-Lodge

Footsteps Eco-Lodge is a traditional African Village compound situated in Gambia.

Guests have a choice of staying in one of the nine huts or two cabins. The huts are furnished with double or twin beds. The cabins have two bedrooms each and are furnished with double beds. Extra beds can be added to the huts or cabins if needed. The cabins also have their own private lounges. All the units have en-suite bathrooms and verandas. On hot days guests can relax in the naturally filtered fresh water swimming pool or on the sun terrace.

The lodge has a restaurant where guests can enjoy their evening meals. A bar, lounge and ?Bantaba' are also on the property. The 'Bantaba' is a village meeting place for a chat, a drink or for having meals.

Take a nature walk with Lamin and be entertained by his birding and tree knowledge in a three-hour tour of the surrounding area of Footsteps. Guests can learn to cook traditional Gambian food with Isatou. A fully equipped massage and beauty salon is also available. For the fisherman, Footsteps provides bait, rods, reels and transport. Surf casting is excellent and beach fishermen can expect to catch Shovel-nosed Rays (Guitarfish), Stingrays, Captainfish, Jack Crevalle, Cassava, Groupers and Catfish. Fishing is mainly done from the beach but river fishing trips are also available for the more experienced fisherman.
