GOODERSON KLOPPENHEIM COUNTRY ESTATE HOTEL RESENSIES (89 %) Kloppenheim self catering - SNQA merissa by Anita Prinsloo, South Africa 06 May 2013 We had a lovely time; the unit was clean, well furnished, comfortable and warm. The under floor heating and bathroom heaters make it a pleasure in the cold weather. It was lovely to sit in the sunny bay window and look out at the stunning view. There is a gas braai on the patio. The staff were efficient and friendly. The unit was spotless and serviced daily. I would definitely go back. The only disappointment was dinner at the hotel; it was possibly the worst meal we have eaten. Not good value at R180.00 pp for cold vegetable soup, dry pork loin with a "dodgy" sauce and spaghetti, followed by soggy sponge cake (meant to be apple pie) with runny, oversweet custard!Establishment's response Dear Anita Thank You for Your review, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We take all comments very seriously as we strive for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction. I do apologise sincerely that you did not enjoy your meal with us during your stay. An Investigation has been done and the Problem areas pointed out by Yourself have been addressed by me. I am delighted that you enjoyed the birthday cake and for Pointing out these Issues to Management. On your return to Kloppenheim Country Estate I would Love for You to sample our New Dishes. Thank You Kind Regards Donald Kiley Too short a stay by Sharon Kaplan, South Africa 21 July 2014 What a lovely spot-so sorry we only spent one night in the self catering chalets. The underfloor heating and gas fireplace kept us super warm and dinner at the pub was great. Just a pity the hotel was almost empty. Would definitely return. Weekend escape Hidden gem by Linda Kleynscheldt 17 July 2017 Beautiful spot in the country side. Very relaxed with lovely views. We stayed in the self catering cottages which were very comfortable and spacious. Would have liked to stay a day to two longer to do all the hiking trails. Only point of improvement - although the staff were very friendly and helpful, we did have a number of miscommunications. Some examples - on arrival, our 6-sleeper unit which we booked for 6 people only had linen and towels for 4 people. We requested additional from housekeeping, and they did arrive, but with only one set of linen...no towels. When I called upfront to ask about the road conditions and best road to take, I got a rundown of the room rates. No train smash, and made up for by the friendly service, but maybe something to address in future training. Love the put put course - just sorry the strong wind wasn't allowing any play that day Kloppenhein, a real must! by Beverley Peens-hartman 18 September 2017 I think Kloppenheim is one of the gems of our country. What an incredible place, incredible staff and excellent amenities. A must for everyone to try. GOODERSON KLOPPENHEIM COUNTRY ESTATE HOTEL LIGGING
