My stay at Hanekraai was great. Williema was so welcoming. The room was nice and had everything we needed..

Friendly and convenient by

Ideal stop over, easy to find location and very friendly hostess. For early risers, the beautiful show-poultry raised on the property beat any alarm clock!

Good by

We spent one night at Hanekraai when passing through. Everything worked fine but the room was a seriously tight fit for two persons and two suitcases. Bathroom OK and refreshment goodies provided. Parking was secure. Breakfast was generous and included in the price. Willemien was pleasant and helpful and keeps exotic chickens - which may be helpful if you've forgotten your alarm clock. Steve's bakery-takeaway is a couple of blocks away and was good for a pizza in the evening.

If you like chicken (the ones for shows; not for eggs or meat), then this is THE place to be. If you look for a B&B on yr way to the Karoo or Namibia, then this is a good one, with eggs for breakfast :-)
