Hardeveld Lodge is a small lodge managed by the owners Kobus and Fey Van Heerden. They have been in the tourism industry since 1986 on took the Lodge over in September 2013. The lodge is a value for money establishment for both Self-catering and Bed and breakfast accommodation. This Lodge is ideally situated on the N7 route between Cape Town and Namibia , 360 km north of Cape Town in a village called Nuwerus and previously known as Erdvarkgat. We offer affordable, spacious, up-market and neat accommodation with good quality linen and mattresses. There is an air-conditioner, TV, fridge and freezer. The unit is fully-equipped for self-catering with private barbecue facilities. Hardeveld Lodge is an base from which to explore the wonders of the area, as a week-end getaway or as a base for those working in the area. The lodge offers Camping, Self-catering, Bed and Breakfast and Dinner, Bed and Breakfast options. Breakfast and dinner times are flexible out of our flower season period however meals need to be pre booked during flower season (Aug,Sept,Oct ) and are only served during specified meal times. Arrival and departure times are flexible where possible..

It was exactly as the description says "affordable, spacious, up-market and neat accommodation" and to that you can add friendly, warm and hospitable hosts.

If you like being greeted like an old friend, treated like the most valuable customer ever and enjoy clean and neat accommodation, then Hardeveld Lodge is the place for you.

Just far enough from Cape Town to feel you are away from it all, but close enough so it's not a drag to get there, Hardeveld Lodge offers the perfect base from which to explore the Knersvlakte and surrounding areas.

There's so many great nature scenes to see in the surrounding area that you definitely have to stay over a few nights to explore them all. Take your 4x4 on vast sand roads and back roads, see scenes seldom seen and enjoy the wonder of this dry yet lovely bit of our country.
