Hazyview Country Cottage offers rustic, affordable accommodation just 15 km from Kruger National Park. This peaceful, private and safe haven is where friends, family, couples and groups can relax and enjoy whatever excitements, adventures and things to do.

Previously a tobacco barn, the cottage has been renovated to provide comfortable accommodation. Features include a large green lawn, a lovely natural looking swimming pool, and a garden filled with frangipani trees. As the property borders on the Sand River, guests can also walk down to the river for excellent bird-watching.

Nice little touches by

Comfortable accommodation. Creatively furnished in African theme. External grounds need work but Tienie Snyman is working on this. Tienie and his wife were tremendous - nice little touches like fresh flowers on arrival made the stay worthwhile.

Great weekend by

It was great weekend at Hazyview Cottages, It is an idyllic setting for a real African feeling. Warm, clean and definitely worth recommending to friends and family. Thank you to our host and hostess for making it a friendly environment.

Wonderful staff by

The staff was very helpful and very nice. Hats off before them. Unfortunately the place need a facelift ... asslift ... and probably a few organ transplant as well. I strongly suggest to the owner to start reinvesting into his/her business. Get a good handyman, fix everything needed to be fixed. Change everything needed to be changed. And last but not least upgrade everything needed to be upgraded. Then we'll surely come back.

But I disappointed. When I was there the owner was very kind . But nothing I can like the room and garden.

Pictures can be deceiving by

Will definitely not stay there again. It does not remotely look the same as in the photos on the website. Part of the makeshift ceiling is collapsing and you are too afraid to switch on the ceiling fan in the room as it looks like it is going to fall on you at any time. Fridge door not sealing, just to name a few. Booked for 6 nights but left after 3. Unfortunately, I cannot rate it lower than 1.

Establishments response:

They stayed in cottage 3 which is one of the most lovely cottages where we never get bad comments and mostly 90 -100% rating on or in-house comment form. They complained about the roof fan that was slightly moving on the ceiling and a fridge that doesn't seal properly. For those mistakes, we were given a 1 rating. The question arises why didn't they just take the time and log a complaint or request for management to attend to it if it was such a serious issue. Then we could have attend to the problem and resolve it. Do these problems justify a 1 Rating? They stayed 3 days they could have done that the first day. They also said the pictures are not the same as advertise. That is impossible as when you grade your pictures are being compared. Some guests are just never satisfied and prefer to instead give negative comments than just take the time and speak to management if ever there is a problem. This cottage interior is absolutely lovely decorated but that they did not see. The cottage and bedding was clean they slept well and safe that doesn't count points. Sorry to say we don't deserve a 1 rating for that !!
Thanks for your support be assure we do our utmost to satisfy our guests. Mistakes and defaults can happen and staff are not perfect but by reporting a problem it can be attend and resolved.
