The unit is situated within a 24-hour security complex with swimming pools, clubhouse, tennis courts, miniature golf, squash courts, pool tables, and laundry facilities. The Hermanus Beach club is adjacent to the Old Harbour and less than 10 minutes' drive from all major shops and restaurants.

Incredible view, lackluster management by

The view is undoubtedly the saving grace of this unit. It is glorious. It was not obvious to us that this accommodation was simply a flat in a complex, and this took us aback. The unit came without basic sanitary equipment like soap or towels, which are to be expected, and the geyser was off when we arrived. We also had issues with the unit's front door not locking.

Very basic at the price by

Very basic accommodation. Fridge and geyser off when we arrived - we were advised of this the day before, but it is not ideal having appliances off on arrival. No satellite TV - in fact, no TV channels at all. Advised to go and watch TV at the clubhouse. Fridge door kept popping open. Main light in bedroom not functioning, due to missing chain. No towels (informed of this, but at the price, not ideal). Toilet had to be flushed repeatedly. Visually not very appealing - lots of cables hanging from the walls or tied together in unsightly bundles.  Pictures missing from the main bedroom wall.  Cutlery and crockery functional, but very old.  Overall, very basic accommodation.  This is fine if you do not have high expectations, but at the price, really not worth it.  The best part is the view, but that alone does not justify the price for what you get. Not recommended by us, and we won't make another booking there.
