What stay? by

Terrible. We booked and paid 4 months in advance. I sent 3 emails asking questions about the place before arrival. I didn't get a response. When we arrived they told us they had no rooms and didn't seem to care. When I showed that I had already paid they didn't know what to do. I said they needed to repay us and find us another hotel. They were reluctant to give the refund but finally did and told us about another hotel nearby that we could walk to. I had to force them to call the other hotel to see if they had availability which it did not. They called another that was available. We were given the directions but as it was night and we had bags and no car we said we couldn't walk so they offered to call a taxi. I said the least they could do was to give us a lift which they did. The second hotel was of very poor quality and expensive (not sure if they made a secret deal with our hotel) and had no breakfast. So all in all I'm very disappointed, being full can happen as many hotels overbook but I thought that the staff didn't deal with the situation well. We should have at least been offered a drink to say sorry but nothing was offered.
