This is a beautifully restored Victorian Karoo-style home with a veranda which has been tastefully decorated. The house features polished yellowood floors and traditional furniture with the accent on comfort.

House No. 1 sleeps up to eight guests and is equipped with everything you might require. This self-catering home comprises three bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with two single beds, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a dining room. There is also a small flatlet which sleeps another couple. A lovely patio with a braai and safe parking. A home away from home all to yourself.

Come stay at House No. 1; the guest house you'll remember, in the village you won't forget. Please note that a minimum of three guests is required.

House No 1 is a nice old house, with antique furniture but needs some serious TLC. Unfortunately because of the dust roads in town, the furniture is also dusty at all times. The kitchen is not the best kitchen to cook in and I am afraid there were not enough of the important utensils to make a proper meal with. However after raising this with Louise, she did help us out for the duration of our stay. The house has a 3 star rating which I think might be misleading. I also feel the rate per day is too high for what one gets. All of this being said, Nieu Bethesda is still one of our all time favourite places in this world and we will keep on returning there. Our stay in House 1 was pleasant enough.
