South Africa's Imbambala Wilderness Trails Camp is situated within the Loskop Nature Reserve's Wilderness area and is only a two hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg. This private and secluded camp is accessed via a scenic 30 minute boat ride through the reserve during which one can spot many of the large variety of game and birds home to this sanctuary.
Days are spent either game viewing on foot, game viewing on boat or in an open game-viewing vehicle. During the game walks the emphasis in on the intrinsic of the fauna and flora of the area, however close encounters with some of Africa's large mammals adds to the excitement of the day.
The wide variety of habitat allows for more than 300 different bird species to congregate in this area making it a discerning ornithologists' haven. Abseiling and archaeological sites are also highlights of this African experience. For the enthusiast horse riding can be arranged if requested well in advance.
