A family gathering by

After seven visits to South Africa we feel that we are more visitors than tourists and know how things are done. This year we gave the guys at the Ink a go. It is hard to qualify Ink against some of the more game rich and popular reserves, as this one stands out for the rare, "What do you guys want to do today?" approach. Spot the difference: "Wake up it's time for your drive..and on the left is a Kudu" and "Do you guys want to go for a morning game drive or quad bike ride or do a trip on the horses?. Your call." Now I have to stop here and quickly state that the the accommodation, tick, catering, tick, location and type of eating and merry making areas, big tick. Special mention to Rodger (the Afrikaans poker face game driver that I will never play cards against). He kept everyone in fits of laughter and stitched everything together. I give him 5 big stars for the way he made two locals, two local goat farmers, and two Aussies feel like one family for the entire time we were there. Back to the venue. If you wanted to fall off cliffs with ropes or paddle in little boats, that option is available, as well as East London being close enough to pop in and visit if required. Now for the special stuff. They have about 10 white lions and cubs and three cheetahs that you can pet, make purr and get your picture taken with! So why not 5 instead of 4 stars? If the rating was for the fun and laughter then it was a great 5! The only reason for the slight mark down was because of the difference between large scale free roaming game reserves further north and the Ink. However, to qualify that statement, you can't have that many white lions roaming free and enjoy all the other activities that this place provides. See you next year.

Thank you! by

The rooms was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Would look them up whenever we're in the area again.

Fabulous visit by

Branden was our ranger for the 2 night/3 day stay and he absolutely MADE our visit.  He went thecectra mile with his attentiveness,  good humour,  animal knowledge and all round sense of fun.  Nothing was too much trouble for him.  The game drives were full of adventure in "the beast",  Brandens landrover.  Time with the white lions was very special as was an early morning drive. Plenty of yummy food - especially the braaied meat. We ended up with Sunday buffet lunch - a buffet like no other.  So many options.. the roast llamb was the best ever. Inkwenkwezi means star... undoubtedly Branden is the star of Inkwenkwezi for us.

Elephant interaction @ Inkwenkwezi by

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Perfect stay! by

Everything was just perfect. Nice conversations, very good explanations, very good food and accommodations. You really feel how interested they are for nature and the animals. I will come back!

Gerne wieder! by

Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht! Bin schon zum zweiten Mal da und würde wieder kommen.

excellent game reserve by

our stay was a surprise gift, we had been here before, but only on a day game drive. our guide, Branden was excellent, very knowledgeable about the park and the animals and could answer our questions thoroughly. he is an asset to your park, would highly recommend him. the accommodation was excellent as was the meals and staff at the restaurant, we saw everything that we had hope to see, and the elephant experience was very interesting and gave us an insight into their predicament in the wild. would certainly recommend at least an overnight stay at Inkwenkwezi. yours yvonne and davy thomson, scotland
