Isidingo Bed and Breakfast offers comfortable accommodation in the heart of the Karoo, in De Aar. The area is known for its clear skies, fresh air and beautiful sunsets.

There are nine comfortable guest rooms available, styled and decorated in its own character. All the rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, bar fridges, microwaves, TVs and selected DStv channels, tea and coffee facilities, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi hot spots.

Our peaceful and secure surroundings will ensure a restful night, with birdsong waking you up in the mornings. There is a lovely dining room where traditional Karoo breakfasts are served, and a cosy lounge area with full DStv access and a fireplace. Take a dip in the swimming pool or make use of the barbecue facilities.

The welcome 
When we arrived we were not welcome. In fact we were asked did we book... then some hesitation before finding our booking. This felt disconcerting as we had travelled a long way from Jhb to get there. A friendly welcome would have been nice. Then we were also asked if we paid and initially it sound like we were talking Greek to them. Then they looked. 

The rooms 
We didn't find aircon on our room as per the website. Dstv was great however the remote to switch on the TV had no batteries... not so great. 
The bathroom was not what we expected. It didn't offer much privacy as it was so open you could hear everything. The furniture waset quite old and that's OK however the paint coming off looked a bit untidy. 

The breakfast 
This is titled a bed and breakfast however breakfast was not included in the price and it wasn't clearly stated that this is the price excluding breakfast. 
We were not not informed when we arrived so the next morning we woke up hoping for breakfast and when we phoned they told us we didn't order and it comes at an additional cost. 

Some good... ?
Elsa the younger lady from the guest house was quite nice. She managed to get us am iron and even purchase an ironing board for us. 
The beds were comfy and the place was clean overall. Lovely big shower rose. 


Nice stay by

New experience compared to other 2 star hotels. I could not find towels in the room as a traveller expects when booking a place to sleep over.
