Jambo Guest House is a 2000/2001 and 2002 AA Travel Guides Accommodation Awards Winner, and in the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 AA Travel Guides Hall of Fame.

The guest house is within walking distance of the famous V&A Waterfront and a few minutes drive from the City Centre. Some excellent restaurants are situated only two minutes' walk away. The Green Point Flea Market is a minute's walk away which is set up on Sundays. Yet we are an oasis of peace and tranquillity nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac at the foot of Signal Hill.

Jambo has five uniquely decorated, luxurious and comfortable double rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Each room is equipped with a safe, a TV with M-Net, a minibar, a telephone, tea and coffee facilities, a fan, a hairdryer, a radio-alarm clock, a down duvet, heaters and towel rails that are electrically heated. Two of the rooms have fireplaces.

The Garden Suite is newly renovated. It opens onto the garden with two sets of teak French doors. It is a very large room with a four-poster double bed and two sitting areas. The bathroom has a corner spa bath, a carved mahogany basin unit and a mirror, and trompe l'oeil paintings on the ceiling and walls.

Guests can relax in Barry's Private Bar, much like an English pub, where we meet, chat, listen to music, or play a game of Kerem. The small charming 'secret garden' has a Koi fish pond and a newly installed Jacuzzi spa for those tired muscles after a day's sightseeing in the Cape.
